Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Hotel Chief Engineer to lead our facilities maintenance and engineering operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the management, repair, and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within the hotel. Your leadership will ensure that all engineering functions operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently, providing an exceptional guest experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive facility excellence through proactive management, technical expertise, and team supervision. This is a hands on postion not a sit at your desk. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the facilities maintenance team to ensure timely repairs and preventative maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and low/high voltage systems. Develop and implement maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations and industry standards. Oversee the troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations by conducting safety audits, training staff on safety procedures, and maintaining a safe work environment. Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or renovations, including planning, resource allocation, and timeline management. Manage facilities maintenance teams by providing leadership in team management, supervising daily tasks, evaluating performance, and fostering a culture of safety and excellence. Requirements Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance within a hospitality or similar environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical systems troubleshooting Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations along with experience implementing safety protocols across teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Supervising experience managing facilities maintenance teams or engineering staff is essential. Excellent leadership skills combined with strong communication abilities in English to coordinate teams and liaise with other departments effectively.
