Job Description
The Supervisor, Maintenance reports directly to the Manager, Maintenance and is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of all machinery, equipment, systems, and facilities. This role includes supervising a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating maintenance schedules, and ensuring all maintenance tasks are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Additional responsibilities involve maintaining records, ordering supplies, and implementing safety protocols to uphold a secure and productive work environment. Summary of Essential Job Functions Supervise all maintenance activities at the site, ensuring repairs and changes are completed flawlessly and on schedule. Plan and oversee the daily work of all hourly maintenance associates, determining priorities and ensuring tasks are followed up and executed. Ensure all facilities and systems remain in reliable working condition and comply with customer and regulatory specifications. Develop and implement a maintenance associate development plan, providing training and growth opportunities for team members. Coordinate planned projects and outages with relevant parties to minimize disruption and ensure smooth execution. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and manage the ordering and inventory of supplies. Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Manager and other departments regarding operational needs and progress. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills and Qualifications Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to identify issues and determine effective solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and delegation skills to manage and motivate team members effectively. Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with CMMS systems for asset management and reporting. Critical thinking skills and attention to detail. Physical dexterity and stamina to meet the demands of the role. Special Position Requirements Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics to support maintenance activities and decision-making. Physical fitness to carry heavy loads and perform other physically demanding tasks. Responsibility for handling emergency maintenance situations, including after-hours calls for repair and support. Flexibility and resilience to adapt to various challenges in a fast-paced environment.
