Job Description
Lead a High-Performing Service Department We are seeking an experienced and driven Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department and help take our dealership to the next level. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who is passionate about customer satisfaction, team development, operational excellence, and growing dealership profitability. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can effectively lead a team, build lasting customer relationships, and create a culture focused on accountability, efficiency, and exceptional service. This role is critical to the continued success and growth of our dealership. Based on a similar Service Manager role in your organization's files, responsibilities include overseeing service operations, coordinating repair activities, training staff, monitoring warranty activity, and driving customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Lead and manage all daily operations of the service department. Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring every customer receives a professional and transparent service experience. Oversee technician productivity, workflow, and repair order management. Coordinate service, maintenance, and repair activities to maximize efficiency and profitability. Monitor department performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Promote maintenance, repair, and accessory sales opportunities. Ensure accurate communication between customers, advisors, technicians, and management. Recruit, train, coach, and develop service department employees. Maintain compliance with manufacturer warranty policies and dealership procedures. Review department financial performance and identify growth opportunities. Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, professionalism, and results. Qualifications Previous experience as an Automotive Service Manager or Fixed Operations leader. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing service team. Strong understanding of dealership service operations, repair order processes, and customer retention strategies. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Results-driven mindset with strong leadership abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or other dealership management system experience is a plus.
