Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Chief Engineer to lead our facilities maintenance and engineering operations. In this vital role, you will oversee the management, repair, and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within the hotel. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the facilities maintenance team, managing daily operations to ensure all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and industrial systems are functioning optimally. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime. Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of complex mechanical systems including HVAC units, electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), plumbing networks, and manufacturing equipment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA standards by conducting regular safety audits, maintaining safety documentation, and training staff on proper maintenance procedures. Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately; utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or renovations from planning through execution while adhering to budgetary constraints and safety regulations. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety incidents; generate reports for management review. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems, or electrical components. Qualifications Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams within a hospitality or industrial environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical systems (including high voltage), plumbing system maintenance, and industrial maintenance procedures. Familiarity with CMMS software for scheduling and tracking maintenance activities. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations along with experience implementing safety protocols across teams. Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and wiring layouts; proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters is essential. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Strong leadership qualities with supervisory experience in managing diverse teams; excellent communication skills in English are required. Technical expertise in troubleshooting engineering issues using diagnostic tools; experience with manufacturing environments is a plus. Knowledge of facilities management best practices including plumbing system repair, electrical troubleshooting (low voltage/high voltage), HVAC system repair, and general mechanical systems repair.
