This role combines the responsibilities of implementing safety standards and optimizing equipment reliability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a safety-first culture, have experience in environmental and occupational health standards, and demonstrate exceptional leadership in managing safety and maintenance initiatives. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, environmental management systems, and other regulatory standards. Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, root cause analysis, and incident investigations to identify risks and implement corrective actions. Lead training sessions on workplace safety protocols, hazardous materials regulations, first aid, CPR, OSHA standards, and environmental compliance to ensure employee awareness and preparedness. Oversee industrial maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability while adhering to safety regulations related to hazardous materials and environmental health. Manage workers' compensation claims process in accordance with workers' compensation law and legal requirements; maintain detailed report writing for incidents and inspections. Ensure compliance with environmental health regulations by monitoring emissions, waste management practices, and environmental regulatory standards. Coordinate with regulatory agencies during inspections or audits to demonstrate compliance and address any identified issues promptly. Lead efforts in environmental health initiatives that promote a safe workplace environment while supporting sustainability goals. Skills Extensive knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, environmental management systems, hazardous materials regulations, and workplace safety standards. Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on occupational health expertise and environmental compliance. Strong ability to conduct root cause analysis, report writing, incident investigations, and develop corrective action plans. Excellent training & development skills to educate employees on safety procedures, regulatory standards, and emergency response protocols. Effective leadership capabilities for when managing in any aspect, while fostering a culture of safety excellence. Familiarity with EPA regulations related to emissions control, waste disposal, and environmental health practices. Ability to interpret complex legal requirements such as workers' compensation law and OSHA standards; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
