A well-established and growing automotive dealership group in the Dubuque, IA market is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead a high-performing fixed operations team. This is a confidential search for a hands-on leader who can drive profitability, improve technician productivity, and deliver a top-tier customer experience. This role is ideal for someone who knows how to run a service department like a business—balancing people, process, and performance. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day operations of the service department with a focus on efficiency and profitability Hire, train, coach, and develop service advisors, technicians, and support staff Drive technician productivity, efficiency, and effective labor sales Monitor KPIs including RO count, hours per RO, effective labor rate, and gross profit Maintain strong customer satisfaction and retention through consistent follow-up and service quality Partner closely with Parts to ensure workflow and availability alignment Oversee warranty processes and ensure compliance with OEM standards Manage department budget, expenses, and forecasting Handle escalated customer concerns professionally and quickly Build relationships with local tech schools and support recruiting efforts What We're Looking For 4-10+ years of automotive service leadership experience Proven ability to run a profitable service department Strong understanding of fixed ops metrics and how to move them Experience leading and developing technician teams Domestic brand experience strongly preferred Hands-on leadership style with the ability to hold people accountable Strong communication skills with both customers and internal teams Why This Role High-impact leadership role with visibility and autonomy Stable, growth-oriented organization with strong backing Opportunity to step into a department with real upside Compensation aligned with performance Additional Details Full-time, on-site role in the Dubuque, IA area Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k), PTO, and more Confidentiality Note All inquiries will be handled with strict confidentiality.
