Position Overview Kelsar Ventures, a FedEx Independant Service Provider (ISP), is seeking an experienced and hands-on Fleet Manager to oversee the safety, readiness, maintenance, and operational efficiency of our last mile delivery fleet. Ideal candidates will have experience in a last mile delivery or FedEx environment. Key Responsibilities Leadership Strong organizational skills Excellent communication skills Accountability to senior managment Fleet Operations & Vehicle Management Drive the overall fleet strategy: purchasing, leasing, selling and retiring vehicles Oversee daily fleet readiness and ensure all trucks are safe and route-ready Monitor vehicle conditions, cleanliness, damages, and maintenance schedules Troubleshoot and diagnose vehicle-related issues Manage towing, recovery, and roadside assistance coordination Track and manage fleet inventory including: keys, scanners, iPads, chargers, fuel cards, handtrucks Coordinate and track maintenance and repairs utilizing Fleetio Dispatch & Operational Support Assist with dispatch, driver coaching, and daily operations Monitor route performance and resolve on-road issues Will be trained as a driver to support delivery routes when necessary Safety & Compliance Promote a strong safety-first culture across the fleet and operations team Ensure drivers report vehicle defects and damages properly and promptly Conduct regular vehicle inspections, triage issues, and schedule repairs Ensure all vehicles meet DOT and FedEx standards Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 12 months experience as Fleet Manager, BC, or Lead Driver in a FedEx ISP strongly preferred. Equivalent Fleet Manager experience in the last mile delivery space strongly considered. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed. Ability to perform rescue routes and delivery support when operationally required. Candidates will need to pass a DOT physical and both pre-employment and random drug screens. Candidates must pass a criminal background and employment background check. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
