Job Description
Maintenance Supervisor / Training Coordinator High Desert Milk | Full-Time | Maintenance Department Burley, Idaho High Desert Milk is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor / Training Coordinator to provide leadership, training, and support for our Industrial Maintenance Technicians. This position works closely with the Maintenance Manager to improve equipment reliability, technician performance, safety, and overall maintenance effectiveness. Because we operate a 24-hour manufacturing facility , this position must be flexible and willing to support both day and night shifts as needed. Key Responsibilities Provide daily leadership, coaching, direction, and accountability to Industrial Maintenance Technicians across all shifts. Assist with maintenance scheduling, staffing, work prioritization, and allocation of resources. Monitor technician attendance, productivity, work quality, and performance. Conduct coaching, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and disciplinary conversations. Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime. Maintain a 95% or greater preventive maintenance completion rate and actively manage work-order backlog. Ensure work orders are properly completed and documented within the CMMS. Lead maintenance training for new and existing employees, including onboarding, qualification, refresher, and cross-training programs. Evaluate technician skills and competencies and identify development opportunities. Develop and maintain maintenance SOPs, JSAs, training materials, and training records. Promote and enforce OSHA, GMP, food safety, LOTO, confined space, electrical safety, machine guarding, PPE, and other company safety requirements. Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, shutdown planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Operations to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
