Maintenance Supervisor / Chief Engineer

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor/Chief Engineer to oversee our maintenance team and ensure the efficient operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and a solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices. This role requires the ability to fabricate components, read schematics, and utilize tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters effectively. Responsibilities Supervise and lead the maintenance team in performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities. Develop and implement maintenance management strategies to enhance operational efficiency. Fabricate parts and components as needed to support equipment functionality. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management. Train and mentor team members on best practices in maintenance procedures and safety protocols. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Collaborate with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to operations during maintenance activities. Requirements Proven experience in a supervisory role within a maintenance environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and perform industrial maintenance tasks. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Familiarity with maintenance management systems is a plus. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
