Opportunity Overview Position Detail Information Job Title Building Lead Mechanic Location Bolingbrook, IL Shift 1st Base Hourly Wage Range $25.00 - $34.00 per hour depending on experience Shift Premium None Job Summary Building Lead Mechanic is responsible for maintaining grounds and general building maintenance of the facility. Responsible for electrical, plumping, carpentry and other maintenance news of all buildings and grounds. Building Lead Mechanic will provide guidance and training to other building maintenance team members. Key Responsibilities Complete daily route building maintenance projects and tasks. Complete daily preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed in a timely manner. Apply knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to maintenance work. Assist in the construction, alteration, preparation, and painting and repair to floors, walls and concrete.

Maintain and repair:

Building roofs, lockable hardware such as doors, automatic electric doors, windows, lockers and magnetic keying system to ensure safety of facilities. Plumbing and heating fixtures and components, piping of various size and type, check safety equipment and replace components such as washers, gaskets and filters. Respond to service requests. Operate lifts and material handling equipment as needed. Visually inspect and test items as needed. Perform project work as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Friday Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical field in an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred. Must have computer skills to communicate and process data, preferred experience with CMMS, L2L, Google Suite. Prefer someone with experience in plumping, electrical, carpentry, painting and mechanical systems including materials and tools along with HVAC.

Age:

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Authorization:

Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships are available.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent in a related field is preferred.

Physical Abilities:

Ability to stand for long periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including above the head and below the waist. Must be able to climb ladders and do work on aerial work platforms as needed.

Environmental:

Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.

Flexibility:

Must be able to work overtime as needed. Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands. Must be able to work with limited supervision.

Compliance:

Must practice good personal hygiene. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.
