Job Description

Summary:
Oversee daily operations of a truck maintenance and repair facility, ensuring timely, high-quality service delivery. Manage and schedule mechanics and technicians, coordinate workflow, and maintain optimal inventory of parts, tools, and equipment. Monitor repair quality, enforce safety standards, and implement cost-effective maintenance strategies. Foster strong customer relationships by providing clear communication, accurate estimates, and prompt issue resolution. Track performance metrics, control budgets, and drive continuous improvement in service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility:
Lead a service team to provide quality service to customers Plan, forecast, budget and monitor all service sales to external and internal customers. Actively promote and solicit service sales. Maintain current product knowledge of ag equipment Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems Must possess excellent customer service skills Excellent computer skills Good communication skills along with good administrative skills Strong work ethic Must be a leader and a team player Provide technical assistance to Ag Retailers, trucking and farmer customers. Administer warranty programs and claims. Maintain all necessary documentation (paper and electronic). Develop proposals for promotional programs and materials to support the Parts Manager with Repair Parts sales. Review all Service and Repair Parts Bulletins and communicate accordingly with appropriate Company personnel. Provide Sales Manager with recommendations for Retailer/customer training and assist with delivery of that training. Advise Sales Manager, Sales Coordinator, Territory Managers and customers regarding shop schedule. Compile and maintain required reports. As needed, provide technical assistance to assembly personnel as it pertains to Company's quality assurance program. Provide recommendations to Sales Manager and Parts Manager regarding Repair Parts sales program and promotional activities. Actively promote and solicit sales of Company's products to Retailers, Dealers and customers. Provide Sales Manager with pertinent product information (both DLS and competitive). Manage assigned personnel so as to assure attainment of company objectives. Foster an open, participative environment that encourages teamwork and individual personal and professional growth and development.
Skills and Abilities:
Must be capable of driving unaccompanied for trips as long as 8 hours - both daytime and nighttime. Must be capable to safely lift up to 25 lbs. from ground to waist height. Must demonstrate the cognitive skills for computer applications as required by the Position. Must maintain a valid vehicle operator license. Must be insurable (motor vehicle property damage, personal injury and liability) as required by the Company. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
Qualifications:
At least two years' related experience in the administration of a truck service repair shop. At least five years' service technician experience in trucking industry. Degree preferred. Above average verbal and written communication skills. Above average interpersonal and persuasive skills. Demonstrated above average proficiency in the agriculture industry. Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook. Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.

Pay:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
