Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shop Foreman/Lead Technician to oversee daily operations within our automotive service center. Duties Lead and supervise a team of automotive technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion of repairs. Perform advanced diagnostics using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and diagnostic tools to identify vehicle issues accurately. Oversee and participate in complex repairs including, transmission repairs, ADAS calibration, suspension systems, brake systems, diesel engine work, and powertrain components. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and quality control procedures. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating for repairs, and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair scope and timelines. Manage shop workflow by prioritizing jobs such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, and heavy equipment maintenance. Support inventory management by ensuring the proper use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical parts. Requirements Proven dealership or automotive repair industry experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems repair. Extensive knowledge of schematics, automotive electrical systems, ADAS calibration, air brake systems, transmissions (including heavy-duty), suspension components (including shocks & struts), and diesel engine repair. Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software to troubleshoot and repair vehicles efficiently. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures such as oil changes and tire services. Valid certifications in automotive repair; ASE certifications preferred but not mandatory. Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical diagrams accurately.
