Lead Fleet Excellence. Drive Operational Performance. Develop the Next Generation of Leaders. Jung is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Maintenance to lead fleet maintenance operations across multiple business groups and locations. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, compliance, and cost-effective performance of a fleet of approximately 150 pieces of equipment. As a key member of the leadership team, you will shape the maintenance strategy for the organization, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and develop high-performing maintenance leaders. The ideal candidate is a proven fleet maintenance professional who combines technical expertise with strong business acumen and a passion for building teams, improving processes, and delivering operational excellence. What You'll Do Lead Maintenance Operations Provide strategic leadership and oversight for maintenance operations across multiple fleets, locations, and maintenance functions. Drive fleet reliability, equipment uptime, preventive maintenance compliance, and service quality. Establish maintenance standards, processes, and best practices that promote consistency and operational excellence. Partner with Operations and Equipment Solutions leadership to align maintenance strategies with business goals and customer expectations. Develop High-Performing Teams Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance managers and maintenance leaders across the organization. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, continuous improvement, and employee development. Build organizational capability by strengthening leadership bench strength and technical expertise. Drive Operational and Financial Performance Own maintenance cost performance, budgets, vendor relationships, and efficiency initiatives. Review and approve significant repair decisions and escalated equipment issues. Monitor fleet performance, maintenance KPIs, compliance metrics, and financial results to identify opportunities for improvement. Lead initiatives that improve asset utilization, reduce downtime, and optimize equipment life cycles. Ensure Compliance and Safety Ensure compliance with all applicable DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, and company safety requirements. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure maintenance operations support organizational safety goals. Maintain consistent regulatory compliance across all maintenance locations and functions. What You Bring Experience & Leadership 10+ years of progressive fleet maintenance leadership experience. Experience leading maintenance managers, supervisors, or multi-location maintenance teams. Proven success leading leaders and managing multiple maintenance functions or business units. Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives into operational execution. Technical & Operational Expertise Strong knowledge of Class-8 maintenance operations. Experience with preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability practices, maintenance planning, and repair cost management. Proven experience managing maintenance budgets, vendor partnerships, and operational improvement initiatives. Ability to leverage data and performance metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement. Regulatory Knowledge Strong understanding of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and EPA requirements applicable to fleet maintenance operations. Communication & Collaboration Ability to build strong relationships with executive leadership, operations teams, vendors, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders. Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
