Position Summary:

The Supervisor — Maintenance, Toolroom & Building & Grounds leads day-to-day maintenance operations, oversees the toolroom, and manages facility and grounds activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This leader supervises skilled tradespeople and technicians, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance, enforces safety and compliance standards, and drives continuous improvement to minimize downtime and support production goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians, toolroom staff, and facilities/grounds personnel; manage scheduling, performance reviews, and training.

Plan, prioritize, and assign day-to-day maintenance and toolroom work to meet production schedules while minimizing downtime.

Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs; ensure timely completion of PM tasks and accurate maintenance records.

Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for equipment breakdowns; coordinate corrective actions and implement lasting fixes.

Manage toolroom operations: tool qualification, repair, calibration, storage, issuance/return processes, and inventory control.

Ensure building and grounds upkeep, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, exterior grounds, snow/ice removal, pest control, and custodial services as applicable.

Maintain spare parts and consumables inventory; coordinate purchasing and supplier relationships for repairs and capital projects.

Enforce safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance (LOTO, confined space, PPE, hazardous materials handling, permits).

Support capital projects and equipment installations — coordinate resources, contractors, and commissioning activities.

Manage third-party contractors for facility services; ensure contractor compliance with site rules and work quality.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, TPM, RCM) to improve reliability and reduce costs.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering or related field.
  • At least three years of leadership experience within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial maintenance. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities and work with minimal supervision.

Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques. The starting base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 annually and is commensurate on experience and education. This position is also eligible to participate in the company's short-term incentive program.
