Full Job Description Maintenance Supervisor Location:

St. Charles, Illinois Our food manufacturing facility is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance teams responsible for the installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of critical equipment across the plant, facilities, utilities, and powerhouse. This role oversees maintenance of key processes to keep product flows and production lines running at peak performance.

Compensation :

$80,000 to $100,000 per year, plus bonus. What You'll Do This supervisor leads teams of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance as well as machine repairs, and trains employees on proper work methods and safety procedures. The role supervises and supports maintenance systems, processes, and documentation to ensure high performance, and works closely with Production to schedule equipment and facility repairs in a timely manner. This person develops and implements maintenance systems such as Predictive and Preventive Maintenance programs, TPM, SOPs, and safety protocols, while providing long term solutions and day to day support for troubleshooting, problem analysis, and equipment failures. The role also owns performance monitoring and reporting, developing and maintaining KPIs to track supplier performance, contractor performance, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness, with regular status reports provided to maintenance management. This supervisor ensures all maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations, maintains accurate records of maintenance work and inventory, and supports a positive employee experience through development and coaching. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university in Engineering or a related field, and 2+ years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) Experience leading others through training, coaching, or mentoring, or through managing a process or project Ability to lead problem solving and troubleshooting efforts for high level process issues Background in food manufacturing or a similar industry Strong electro-mechanical skillset Strong root cause analysis background Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications Ammonia refrigeration background Advanced technical skills in ammonia refrigeration, high pressure boiler, compressed air, mechanical, and electrical fields (PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical engineering) Experience leading resource planning efforts in a large manufacturing environment Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive and predictive maintenance, TPM, and inventory and scheduling software Strong leadership skills, including conflict resolution, facilitation, change management, decision making, and delegation Good planning and priority setting skills Compensation and Benefits $80,000 to $100,000 per year, plus bonus Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off To apply, submit your resume for consideration.
