About the Role As a Facilities Maintenance Lead, you will serve as the primary steward of our production infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and peak performance of our industrial machinery. You will spearhead maintenance strategies, optimize equipment uptime, and lead a technical team to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Direct and mentor a maintenance team to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and high-performance technical execution. Design and execute comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize the lifecycle of extrusion and compounding systems. Manage complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity. Oversee external vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and project quality assurance for specialized facility upgrades. Enforce rigorous OSHA compliance and safety protocols, conducting regular risk assessments to maintain a zero-accident workplace. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation to standardize maintenance workflows. Manage the departmental budget, inventory of spare parts, and procurement of essential supplies to support operational goals. Analyze performance metrics and provide actionable data to leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills 10+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, specifically within plastics recycling or compounding. Proven expertise in extrusion machinery and complex industrial systems. Advanced proficiency with CMMS platforms (e.g., MaintainX) and Microsoft Office. Strong leadership background with experience managing budgets and maintenance scheduling. Deep knowledge of safety regulations and industry-standard compliance. Preferred Skills Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a valid Millwright certification. Experience working within
