Facilities and Maintenance Manager Reports To:

Operations Manager Position Summary The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance and facility operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance. This position provides direct supervision to the Maintenance Supervisor and overall leadership for maintenance activities, facility improvements, capital projects, and equipment reliability initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Directly supervise and provide leadership to the Maintenance Supervisor. Oversee and manage all maintenance department operations. Evaluate and approve manpower requirements for the maintenance department. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Process teams to improve production and testing equipment efficiency and reliability. Partner with Human Resources and Safety leadership to develop, implement, and maintain safe work processes and practices. Manage relationships with outside contractors, vendors, and service providers. Ensure effective training, development, and mentoring of maintenance personnel, including maintenance apprentices. Develop and support preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment uptime, facility operations, safety, and maintenance effectiveness. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Facilities Management, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous supervisory experience, including directing maintenance personnel and leading through subordinate supervisors. Demonstrated experience managing maintenance budgets, staffing, and facility improvement projects. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems. Experience implementing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Experience managing contractors, vendors, and capital improvement projects. Strong problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills. Effective leadership, coaching, employee development, and succession planning skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing operational needs. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting CNC equipment, automated manufacturing systems, PLCs, and industrial controls. Welding, fabrication, machining, or custom equipment design/build experience. Experience managing facility expansions, renovations, or new construction projects required.
