New Carlisle, IN As a Process Manager Maintenance at Cleveland-Cliffs, you will be responsible for leading maintenance activities and driving continuous improvement. This Team Leader has sufficient knowledge and experience to resolve complex social and technical problems. Take immediate and appropriate action to correct unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with safety guidelines, company & department policies. Ideal candidates enjoy hands-on, collaborative environments and are willing to seize opportunities to develop themselves. The Cleveland-Cliffs New Carlisle facility is located near New Carlisle, Indiana, and is a 24/7 operation that produces cold-rolled, hot-dipped galvannealed, and electrogalvanized steel coils. Summary of Responsibilities Serve as performance coach and technical advisor to the self-directed maintenance teams. Is enthusiastic about safety and is committed to ensuring their team has the required safety training. Is fully committed to ensure complete compliance with all environmental regulations. Facilitate continuous improvement for the maintenance planning, and scheduling process and ensure these improvements are institutionalized into the team's standards and procedures. Prioritizes, aligns, and coordinates maintenance tasks cross-functionally to ensure the team manages within the team's budget. Takes the initiative to coach and counsel team members on matters such as safety, environmental management, attendance, and work rules.

Works with all concerned on the interpretation of Collective Bargaining Agreement (USW) language and company policies. Tracks team metrics (i.e., absenteeism, overtime, business plan progress) and develops the appropriate corrective measures as needed. Facilitates team meetings and provides information on topics including safety, environmental, maintenance, quality, budget, or training and ensures appropriate communications are maintained. Identifies the need for team development (e.g., training, quality systems, maintenance techniques) and takes appropriate steps to implement development activities. Recognizes equipment deficiencies and works to improve reliability. Provides effective communication and coordination with the operation teams on equipment issues to facilitate this improvement. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Leadership experience in manufacturing Solid analytical ability skills and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, advanced Excel skills, and Power Point) Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a union environment Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Bachelor's degree or extensive maintenance experience Experience in the steel or metals industry Cleveland-Cliffs is a leading North America-based steel producer with focus on value-added sheet products, particularly for the automotive industry.
