This role is vital in ensuring the continuous operation, safety, and efficiency of mechanical, electrical production equipment and infrastructure systems across the production site. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in industrial maintenance, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and project management. Hours:
6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday with partial days on Fridays . Duties Departmental Supervision, Employee Development and Safety Supervise departmental personnel and outside contractors. Train employees, monitor progress and review performance. Responsible for coaching, motivating, mentoring, and developing direct reports to successfully take on additional responsibilities. Provide guidance and assistance to subordinates in problem solving. Inspect facility work and equipment maintenance processes to assure high quality work and equipment dependability is achieved and maintained. Investigate complaints and make recommendations for improvements. Promote safe working practices/policies and enforce all safe working procedures as prescribed per Company policy. Be watchful for any unsafe practices or conditions throughout the manufacturing facilities and make appropriate corrections. 40% Planning and Communication Plan, prioritize, schedule and oversee all equipment and facility maintenance work. Monitor work progress through key performance indicators and by means of direct observation. Inspect facilities and equipment to maintain a safe, effective and dependable work environment. Work cooperatively with various members of other departments and manufacturing sites throughout iD Castings in planning and executing process relocations, manufacturing layout improvements and other continuous improvement projects relating to this site. Generate CAD drawings, seek bids and generate estimates as needed. Prepare and present project proposals as required. 20% Administrative Duties Review and approve work requests, manage work orders and keep facility and equipment maintenance records using iD Castings software. Stay current on modern trends and practices in predictive and preventive maintenance. Monitor and maintain appropriate parts and supply inventories necessary to provide timely repairs or service. Review employee performance through the Performance Expectation Review (PER) process, establishing/tracking goals and completing annual wage reviews. Approve weekly payroll hours. Process and approve employee paperwork to include paid time off, accident report, return-to-work forms, etc. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 5-7
years' related experience High school graduate or equivalent Must have valid driving privileges Occasional travel (0-5%) Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A
two-year associate's degree or technical school certification in a related field. Training in lean manufacturing practices a plus. Good interpersonal skills, organizational and communications skills, along with a commonsense approach, are also desired.
