What they do
A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Techo-Bloc designs and manufactures premium landscaping products — and we're looking for a detail-driven Maintenance Planner to keep our Waterloo, IN and Rock Island, IL facilities running at full speed. If you thrive on organization, problem-solving, and working cross-functionally with maintenance, production, and vendors, this is a role where your planning skills directly drive plant performance.

What you'll do:
As a key link between maintenance, production, and outside vendors, you'll plan and prioritize the work that keeps our equipment running. Day to day, you'll:
Build maintenance schedules and generate work orders across all shiftsOwn the preventive/corrective maintenance program and keep it optimizedTrack department performance through the ERP system and report on key metricsManage vendor relationships — sourcing quotes, technical documentation, and pricingForecast and manage parts inventory (MRP) so the team always has what it needsEstimate labor and parts costs, and adjust plans when equipment breaks downPrepare purchase requisitions/POs and support parts room operationsOccasionally assist outside normal hours for urgent needsQualificationsWhat you bring:
Experience in manufacturing maintenance planningMust have a valid driver's license and a good driving recordMust be able to operate a forklift, man lift and other industrial equipmentProficiency in Microsoft Office, D365 and Microsoft AX (highly preferred)Purchasing and vendor managementHigh level knowledge of electrical and mechanical partsExcellent planning and execution skillsBe an excellent communicatorAbility to work under pressure and with others for a common goalWhy Work at Techo-Bloc?
