A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Your role will involve developing comprehensive maintenance plans, coordinating schedules, and ensuring compliance with environmental standards. You will also manage projects, oversee contractor work, and contribute to the development of budget initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed maintenance plans and work packets, including material listings, procedures, and equipment clearance requests.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules to support reliable operations and compliance with environmental procedures.
  • Manage projects performed by contractors, ensuring they are completed within budget.
  • Collaborate with Material and Contract Services on procurement and dispute resolution.
  • Assist in developing outage and maintenance plans for efficient execution.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in power plant, utility, construction, or related technical environments.
  • Proven technical competence in maintenance and operations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with maintenance management systems and project management software.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
  • Experience in power generation, utilities, or large-scale construction projects.
  • Familiarity with enterprise work management systems like Maximo or SAP.
