Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as an Automotive Service Manager, where your leadership and technical expertise will drive exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence. In this role, you will oversee daily service operations, manage a talented team of technicians, and ensure the delivery of high-quality vehicle repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the automotive service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of quality. Coordinate with service technicians to diagnose vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics tools and provide accurate estimates. Oversee vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, transmissions, air brake systems, and collision repairs. Utilize estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare detailed repair estimates. Upsell additional services and repairs by effectively communicating benefits to customers while maintaining transparency. Manage customer interactions by providing exceptional client communication, explaining repair procedures, and ensuring satisfaction. Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately while maintaining proper documentation. Ensure compliance with dealership policies, safety standards, and industry regulations related to automotive repair and service writing. Monitor parts inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of parts needed for repairs. Drive sales initiatives by promoting automotive services and automobile sales opportunities to maximize revenue. Skills Proven experience in auto service management or dealership service departments with a strong background in automotive repair. Extensive mechanic experience with expertise in automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, alignment, collision repair, and air brake systems. Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools for accurate job costing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients. Strong sales acumen with experience in upselling services and automobile sales to enhance revenue streams. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic is highly desirable. Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
