We are on a mission to help as many children with special needs as possible. The efforts of everyone here, no matter the task, help further that goal. We're hiring one versatile maintenance and construction person to keep our growing campus running: the clinic itself plus the rental and commercial properties on the surrounding block. Our current Facilities Manager would very much like to retire, and this position is built to train up and take his place.

A note on experience:

This role covers the full range of the trades, and it's the deep end. If you can sweat a copper joint, wire a three-way switch, hang and finish drywall so nobody can tell where the patch was, set a toilet, and figure out why a furnace won't light, all in the same week, you're exactly who we're looking for. If your experience so far is mostly cleanouts, painting, and punch lists, this is not the job for you, and we'd rather say that here than waste your time.

What the work looks like:

General repairs and preventive maintenance across residential and commercial buildings Carpentry, drywall, paint, flooring, doors, windows Plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting and repair Renovation and remodel projects, start to finish Coordinating specialty contractors when a job calls for one Keeping simple records of what was done and what's coming due Working around therapists, families, and kids without missing a beat - clean, safe, and friendly matters here more than most places What we're looking for: Several years of hands-on construction or maintenance experience, the broader the better Able to read plans and schematics, figure things out, and run your own day Experience with both residential and commercial buildings is a plus Comfortable and kind around children with special needs - they're why we're all here Why this job is different:

Pay:
