Hiring Agency Finance & Administration Cabinet | Dept for Facilities and Support Srvs Location 100 Airport Road Frankfort, KY 40601 USA Description The Department for Facilities Management, Division of Building Services (DBS) is responsible for preventive maintenance, general repairs, small to medium construction projects, snow removal, and other landscaping services, janitorial services, and many other essential day-to-day building functions. Within DBS, a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor I provides direct supervision and leadership for the building support staff at one or more locations. They interact daily with tenants, visitors, contractors, tradesmen, and other staff while performing and coordinating services, housekeeping, and maintenance activities. Tact, diplomacy, and broad-based building systems knowledge are essential for success.
Key responsibilities:
Supervision Tenant relations Preventive maintenance and minor repairs Janitorial services Coordinating major repairs and/or projects Setups and moves Safety and emergency management Preferred knowledge/skills/abilities: Team leadership, supervision Janitorial or housekeeping services Construction and/or other related trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) Customer service Good written and verbal communication General computer literacy We're looking for a knowledgeable, experienced supervisor who likes working with people and thrives in a challenging dynamic environment.
