Job DescriptionMaintain the facility through preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, kitchen, HVAC, structural, and other related systems. Serve as a shift/shop leader to, and share technical expertise/learned knowledge with, junior Maintenance Engineers.
Job FunctionsCarry out all duties in strict adherence with all applicable regulations (e.g. Health, OSHA, etc.) and Company policies and practices.
Respond to emergency situations such as fire, power outage, gas, and water leaks.
Perform periodic maintenance to equipment and machinery as outlined in preventative maintenance schedules.
Maintain property by performing repairs or maintenance to all electrical and plumbing fixtures as well as painting when required.
Work as a Team Leader as assigned and assist in training/teaching junior Maintenance Engineers.
Work on renovating projects as assigned.
Communicate with department heads, staff, and subordinates.
Interact with vendors and outside contractors.
Interface and provide follow-up to work performed by vendors and outside contractors.
QualificationsMust be at least 21 years of age.
Trade school graduate or equivalent experience required.
Must have three (3) years of experience in maintenance at a commercial or industrial facility.
Must possess through knowledge of electrical, plumbing and painting.
Must be skilled with, and able to safely and effectively use, power and hand tools.
Must be able to read, comprehend, and apply technical material, schematics, and blueprints.
Must have good customer service and communication skills.
Computer skills strongly preferred.
Working conditions include but are not limited to climate-controlled interior areas, external areas which may include inclement or harsh weather conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain, wind, etc.), and small/confined spaces.
Other physical demands include walking, climbing, reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must highly organized and able to properly prioritize responsibilities.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
