In this pivotal role, you will be charged with planning, coordination, and execution of maintaining the physical plant while staying in compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-motivated, hands-on problem-solver with strong management skills, mechanical knowledge, and expertise in long-term care facilities' maintenance systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide a comfortable, safe living environment for our residents and join a dedicated team of professionals at Colony Center. Duties Report directly to the facility's Administrator; Lead and manage the maintenance department; Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs utilizing TELS by Direct Supply to create, track, monitor and record your workflow; Coordinate diagnostics, service and repair on the critical mechanical systems of the physical plant (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, durable medical equipment, Life Safety, etc.) Interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings to troubleshoot issues efficiently; Coordinate projects related to equipment upgrades, facility improvements, or new installations with internal teams or external contractors. Qualifications Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Maintenance Director in long-term care, or similar; Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate support staff and foster a collaborative work environment; Hands-on experience with mechanical systems to ensure reliability and efficiency; Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously; Excellent communication skills for clear reporting, documentation, and team collaboration; Working knowledge of Life Safety standards related to long-term care environments including electrical safety protocols.
