This leadership position involves overseeing maintenance staff, managing projects, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance, facilities management, and project management, along with excellent leadership skills. Duties Lead and supervise the maintenance team and housekeeping team to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to safety protocols. Manage the maintenance department to track work orders, schedules, and inventory. Oversee the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas needing repair or improvement. Adhere to preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules. Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance their skills in mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and schematics interpretation. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to facility operations and safety standards. Manage projects related to facility upgrades or new installations from conception through completion. Requirements Proven experience in a management role within an assisted living or hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and industrial maintenance practices. Experience with project management principles and practices. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance improvement. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Supervising experience is essential for managing a diverse team effectively. Proficient in using tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing and troubleshooting. The Maintenance Director is essential for maintaining operational excellence within our facilities while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
