Participes in planning conferences and meetings. (2) Explains work requirements to subordine supervisors, sets deadlines and sequence of operions. Coordines and directs the work of units supervised. Balances work load for subordine work groups. Analyzes production, cost and personnel utilizion records, and makes adjustment in operions to correct problems. Develops quality and quantity standards. Spot checks work operions to assure production and quality standards are met. Encourages employees to achieve goals. (3) Recommends promotion or reassignment of subordine supervisors and reviews personnel actions prepared by supervisors. Makes formal appraisal of supervisors' work performance and reviews employee appraisals submitted by them. Determines long-range training needs for all levels of subordines, submits funding and budget requests with justificion for approval, and arranges for the accomplishment of training. Promotes and administers such programs as cost reduction, incentive awards, suggestions, and quality assurance. Ensures regulions governing safety and housekeeping are observed with approprie protective clothing and equipment being utilized. Assures subordine supervisors carry out such programs as labor-management and equal opportunity. Schedules and approves leave. Ensures position descriptions are accure and position management principles are followed. Develops and establishes the internal procedures to be followed by subordine supervisors and to and to assure effective control and direction of the work activities, organizions, and personnel supervised. Ensures use of quality conformant products through compliance with established merials shelf life programs. Ensures all aspects of Force Protection to include physical security, facility and vehicle key control, property accountability, access control and employee protection in accordance with established policies and regulions. Implements procedures to account for real property, installion property, MTO&E (Modified Tables of Organizion and Equipment) property, TDA (Tables of Distribution and Allowances) property, and installed equipment loced or assigned to the facility in accordance with ste and Federal regulions and policies. Ensures subordines are trained, qualified, and equipped with proper protective equipment, environmental mediion equipment and merials. Ensures employees wear approprie safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. (5) Prepares for and participes in various types of readiness evaluions, inspections, mobilizion and command support exercises. May be required to perform such additional duties as structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/crash/rescue duty, security guard, snow removal, munitions loading and handling, heavy equipment operion, maintenance of facilities and equipment, or to serve as a team member on boards to cope with nural disasters or civil emergencies. GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Must have least 36 months experience or training leading to an extensive knowledge of the mechanical makeup, operion, and working relionships of complex interconnecting systems, assemblies, and parts for a variety of comb, tactical, commercial, special purpose vehicles, and equipment. Ability to diagnose, repair, overhaul, and modify interconnected complex systems on a variety of comb, tactical, commercial, special purpose vehicles, and equipment. Extensive knowledge of ste of the art electrical, electronic, complex hydraulic, pneumic, and other major non-mechanical systems th have a functional relionship and effect on the operion of major mechanical systems. Extensive knowledge of hydraulic lifting, loading, turning, and positioning systems and their mechanical, hydraulic, pneumic, electrical, and electronic controls.
