Job Description

Automotive Service Manager We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Automotive Service Manager to lead a high-performing, customer-focused service department. This is an opportunity to join a large and growing automotive group that values strong leadership, accountability, operational excellence, and continued growth. We are looking for a proven dealership service leader who understands how to develop people, drive profitability, improve shop performance, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. What You'll Do Lead all day-to-day service operations, including service advisors, technicians, dispatch, scheduling, and shop workflow Drive department performance across key metrics, including productivity, technician efficiency, effective labor rate (ELR), customer-pay gross profit, hours sold, selling metrics, and customer satisfaction Monitor performance daily and take action to improve results Maximize shop capacity and throughput through effective scheduling, dispatching, and technician utilization Maintain high standards for repair order quality, warranty compliance, documentation, and audit readiness Recruit, train, develop, and retain a strong team of advisors and technicians Establish clear expectations and create a culture of accountability, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement Partner closely with Parts, Sales, and dealership leadership to improve overall profitability and the customer experience Identify opportunities to grow customer-pay business, gross profit, labor sales, and customer retention Requirements — Non-Negotiable Minimum 5 years of Automotive Service Manager experience New-car franchise dealership experience required Proven track record of successfully managing and developing a dealership service department Strong understanding of dealership service KPIs, including ELR, gross profit, productivity, efficiency, hours per RO, hours sold, CSI, and retention Demonstrated ability to increase gross and labor sales while maintaining or improving customer satisfaction Strong leadership, communication, and accountability skills Experience with shop scheduling, dispatch optimization, technician productivity, and technician retention CDK experience preferred What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience and performance Opportunity to join a large, established, and growing automotive organization Performance-driven environment with significant opportunity for advancement Comprehensive benefits package
