Full-Time Position Summary The Maintenance & Environmental Services Director is responsible for overseeing the facility's maintenance, plant operations, housekeeping, and environmental services (EVS) departments. This position ensures the facility is safe, clean, properly maintained, and compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Oversee all Maintenance and EVS staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Ensure the building, grounds, equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and life-safety systems are properly maintained. Develop and monitor preventive maintenance programs and ensure work orders are completed timely. Oversee housekeeping, sanitation, laundry, waste management, and overall cleanliness of the facility. Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, chemical handling, and infection-control practices. Maintain required records, inspections, permits, and documentation. Ensure compliance with CMS, state regulations, OSHA, Life Safety Code, fire safety, and infection-control requirements. Conduct regular facility rounds and address maintenance, cleanliness, and safety concerns promptly. Coordinate outside vendors, contractors, inspections, and repairs. Assist with department budgets, purchasing, inventory, and cost control. Participate in regulatory surveys and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly. Respond to facility emergencies, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fire, and other building-related issues. Work closely with the Administrator, DON, Infection Preventionist, and other department heads to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous maintenance, facilities, housekeeping, EVS, or healthcare experience preferred. Nursing home or healthcare facility experience preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of building systems, environmental services, sanitation, and safety requirements. Ability to manage multiple departments and respond to emergencies as needed. Performance Expectations The Maintenance & Environmental Services Director is expected to maintain a safe, clean, sanitary, well-maintained, and survey-ready facility while ensuring both departments operate efficiently and effectively.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
