We are currently seeking a dedicated Facilities and Maintenance Manager to join our team. Role Overview The Facilities and Maintenance Manager serves as a working supervisor reporting directly to the Administrator. You will oversee all aspects of preventive and ongoing maintenance within the nursing home. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing maintenance operations to ensure the building, equipment, and grounds are well-maintained and compliant with all federal, state, local, building codes, and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities Hands-on Maintenance:

Perform and oversee essential tasks including basic construction, groundskeeping, plumbing, and electrical work.

Operational Leadership:

Direct maintenance operations to ensure a safe, high-quality, person-centered environment.

Compliance:

Maintain strict adherence to all building codes, regulatory standards, and safety programs.

Security & Safety:

Manage facility security and lead a multi-departmental safety program focused on risk management and prevention.

Project Management:

Plan and execute facility projects effectively, demonstrating sound judgment and emergency responsiveness.

Requirements Experience:

Proven maintenance experience is required .

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in basic construction, plumbing, electrical, and groundskeeping is a must .

Professionalism:

Must be able to read and write English in a legible and understandable manner.

Tech Savvy:

Ability to operate basic office machines and computer software.

Leadership:

Experience in a "working supervisor" capacity with the ability to collaborate across all levels of staff. Preferred Qualifications 3 to 5 years of Maintenance, Plant Operations, Support Service, or Management experience. Experience in a nursing home or hospital setting. Associate's degree in Applied Science (or equivalent years of experience). Current state license in a major trade or advanced technical certification in building trades/preventative maintenance.
