About the Role As the Service Center Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of the service center while leading your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You'll be responsible for developing employees, supporting technicians, growing sales, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring every customer leaves confident they've received honest, professional service. Success in this role comes from balancing strong business acumen with outstanding leadership and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. What You'll Do Customer Service & Sales Leadership Create a customer-first culture that delivers an exceptional experience on every visit. Build long-term customer relationships through trust, integrity, and honest communication. Coach your team on identifying customer needs and recommending tires, maintenance, and repair services that provide real value. Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally while protecting the reputation of the business. Actively participate in community outreach and relationship-building to grow local business and customer loyalty. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing team of technicians and service professionals. Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on accountability, respect, and continuous improvement. Schedule staff to maximize productivity while maintaining excellent customer service. Support technician development through ongoing coaching and training opportunities. Operational Excellence Oversee daily shop operations to ensure efficient workflow and quality workmanship. Maintain appropriate inventory levels and manage vendor relationships. Monitor repair quality and ensure work meets company and industry standards. Promote a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment. Financial & Business Performance Drive sales growth while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. Monitor key performance indicators, labor efficiency, gross profit, and overall store profitability. Manage budgets, expenses, billing, invoicing, and cash flow. Develop strategies to increase customer retention and grow market share. Requirements What We're Looking For High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field is preferred. Proven leadership experience in an automotive repair, tire, or retail service environment. Strong automotive knowledge, including tires, preventative maintenance, and general repair services. Demonstrated success leading teams, coaching employees, and developing talent. Outstanding customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills. Experience driving sales, improving customer retention, and achieving business goals. Financial acumen, including budgeting, labor management, and KPI analysis. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. ASE Certifications or other industry certifications are a plus.
