A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

What You'll Do Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Coordinate shutdowns and maintenance work to maximize uptime. Lead capital projects including equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvements. Manage project schedules, budgets, contractors, and resources. Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and reduce downtime. Champion a strong safety culture across all maintenance and project activities. What We're Looking For 3 + years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally in a sawmill, lumber mill, wood products, or heavy manufacturing environment. Experience in maintenance planning, project management, or maintenance supervision. Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems including conveyors, hydraulics, pumps, motors, and gearboxes. Experience with CMMS software is an asset. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
