Full Job Description Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the Fleet & Equipment Manager will include overseeing and optimizing the performance and safety of Mersino's fleet trucks and heavy equipment. This will include the management and oversight of various aspects of equipment management, operations, maintenance, and training programs.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the acquisition and disposal of vehicles and equipment. Evaluate equipment requests, including vehicle transfer requests within the organization, and make recommendations for transfers, additions, or replacements. Develop processes to ensure efficient utilization of assets; report on findings and make recommendations on actions to correct any underutilization. Establish, implement, and manage maintenance schedules for all vehicles and equipment, auditing to ensure compliance throughout the organization. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance. Proven experience in fleet and equipment management, preferably in a similar industry. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in computer systems and fleet management software. CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred but not required.
