Hydro Aluminium Metal is a leading supplier of extrusion ingots, sheet ingots, foundry alloys, wire rods, and high-purity aluminium, with a global production network of around 6,000 employees. With primary metal production facilities in Europe, Canada, Australia, Brazil, and Qatar, and recycling facilities throughout Europe and the U.S., two-thirds of our primary aluminium production is based on renewable energy.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations at our facility. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our equipment and machinery.
What You'll Do:
Promote and be a steward of our organizations Safety Culture and Core Values Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Ensure proper LOTO procedures and all work permits are utilized for safe maintenance operations Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring timely and effective completion of maintenance tasks. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues, and perform necessary repairs. Maintain an inventory of necessary spare parts and tools, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement. Coordinate and communicate with vendors for equipment and facility maintenance. Investigate and report all accidents, injuries, incidents, property damage and near misses in department. Perform routine safety inspections as required and maintain high level of housekeeping. Perform coaching of employees for recognition, reward, or constructive correction. Provide training and support to maintenance technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs performed. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance maintenance efficiency. Provide back-up maintenance support to maintenance technicians Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
Committed to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols. Experience in industrial maintenance planning and supervision experience Possess a recognized electro-mechanical certification. Intermediate knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and the ability to troubleshoot and program them. Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the aluminum or manufacturing industry. Proven experience in leading and supervising a maintenance team. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, management, and external partners. What We Offer The annual base pay for this role is between $95,000-$115,000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus.
