About JDs Stage Bistro JDs Stage Bistro is an upscale-casual restaurant and live entertainment venue focused on creating memorable experiences through thoughtful hospitality, quality food and beverage, and live music. We are looking for an experienced, hospitality-driven Service Manager to join our leadership team. This is a hands-on, floor-focused management position for someone who enjoys leading people, developing teams, connecting with guests, and creating a consistently exceptional service experience. The Role The Service Manager will work closely with the General Manager and restaurant leadership team to oversee front-of-house operations and ensure each service runs smoothly, efficiently, and with a high level of hospitality. This is not a position spent primarily in an office. We are looking for a leader who wants to be present on the floor—coaching the team in real time, engaging with guests, anticipating challenges, and setting the tone for service. Responsibilities Lead and oversee front-of-house operations during service Manage the flow and pacing of the dining room, including reservations, seating, staffing, and guest experience Maintain a visible and engaged management presence on the floor Lead pre-shift meetings and clearly communicate daily priorities, menu updates, events, and service expectations Coach servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, food runners, and other FOH team members throughout service Provide ongoing training, feedback, and development to help employees grow and consistently meet JDs service standards Hold team members accountable to established policies, procedures, and expectations Build relationships with guests and proactively identify opportunities to elevate their experience Handle guest concerns and service recovery with professionalism, urgency, and genuine hospitality Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, checkout procedures, reporting, and securing the restaurant Ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, properly set, and fully prepared before each service Work collaboratively with culinary and beverage leadership to ensure strong communication between FOH, BOH, and the bar Support the General Manager with scheduling, training, employee performance, operational procedures, and other management responsibilities as needed Assist with private events, special events, and Stage Room performances Help maintain a positive, professional, accountable, and team-oriented workplace culture Consistently model JDs standards of hospitality and leadership Qualifications 2+ years of restaurant management or comparable FOH leadership experience preferred Experience in a full-service, upscale-casual, or high-volume restaurant environment strongly preferred Strong understanding of front-of-house restaurant operations and service standards Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-oriented during busy services Strong instincts for guest relations and service recovery Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership during service Experience with Toast POS, 7shifts, and/or restaurant reservation systems is a plus Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, special events, and other shifts based on the needs of the restaurant JD's Stage Bistro is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and wants to be part of building a strong restaurant culture. Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
