POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for establishing and implementing Maintenance Foundations, TPM methodologies, and the engineering related elements of Nestle Continuous Excellence for Nestle in line with the Nestle Maintenance Strategy and Control of Maintenance Expenses in Factories. This role involves managing a team of salaried supervisors & planners, stockroom personnel, and hourly maintenance mechanics & Team Leaders. This role is a key liaison with Production Safety, & Quality teams to minimize downtime, deliver reliable equipment at an optimal cost, as well as maintain high standards of hygiene and safety. Analytical Thinking (50%) Monitor and analyze maintenance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives Develop and drive corrective action plans and gap closure for production lines that are not meeting the expected performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance Oversee the maintenance budget, managing resources efficiently to optimize and control costs Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures Support the development and drive the execution of maintenance plans and schedules for all production equipment Coordinate the use of Corporate, Plant, and External Engineering resources to ensure alignment and help drive the factory priorities Stay current with industry trends and advancements in maintenance technologies Performance Coaching (20%) Monitor, coach, and improve the Maintenance & Improvement strategy and objectives of the factory Support coaching activities to reinforce Maintenance systems expectations, enhance the execution of NCE methodologies, and drive a Safety & Quality mindset throughout the factory Collaborate and educate peers from other departments to align on and support the execution of Maintenance systems and tools to optimize performance and service to factory priorities People Leadership/Development (20%) Build, develop, and coach Maintenance leaders to drive results Lead, mentor, and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring proper training, performance management, and career development support Demonstrate and promote the company's values in leveraging the Nestle Leadership Framework Benchmark with other Maintenance Managers within the network to leverage expertise and proper implementation of Maintenance strategies and NCE Methodologies Compliance/Risk Management (10%) Oversee and report all Maintenance and NCE audit plans and progress for the factory Maintain a good understanding of factory production, including which lines and processes are critical to the business Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Has immediate responsibility for the Safety & Environmental activities performed by supervisors and employees.- Assures that Safety activities are communicated & accomplished as outlined in the Plant's safety program.
- Assures that activities performed having an environmental impact are communicated and accomplished as outlined in the Plant's environmental program.
- Assures that the supervisor involved properly investigates all injuries, incidents and accidents as they relate to Safety or the Environment.
- Consult with the Plant Safety/Environmental Management Representative as necessary to fulfill program requirements.
- Review all accident and incident investigations with the objective of taking action to eliminate future occurrences.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent with 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environmentEXPERIENCE
Experience in Food or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry is preferred Experience in Maintenance Management is highly preferred Strong knowledge of mechanical systemsCMMS/SAP
experience is preferred TPM experience is preferred Experience in a USDA, FDA, or equivalent regulatory compliance manufacturing environment is preferredSKILLS:
