Oscoda, MI Reports To:
Director of Base Maintenance Position Description:
  • Organize all Line Station maintenance personnel to meet scheduled maintenance, revenue and charter operations.
  • Assure all Line Stations maintain communications with Maintenance Control, Planning and Materials.
  • Completes required management reports.
  • Trains and disciplines subordinate per company policy and ensure maintenance meets FAA and company standards.
  • Ensures facilities and equipment are kept in operational and professional condition.
  • Performs and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of experience working in an aircraft turbine engine shop as a licensed mechanic.
  • Minimum of three (3) or more years supervisory or management at a regional or national airline or above.
  • Must have proven record of experience supervising maintenance operations, coordinating maintenance activities with Maintenance Control and down lone stations, developing subordinate technical skills.
  • Ability to work multiple tasks while under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel or similar software programs.
  • Must be able to read and interpret Maintenance Manual, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Structural Repair and Wiring Diagram Manuals instructions and schematics.
  • State Driver s License.
FAA - A&P
License.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Avionics history a plus.
  • Must be able to travel when needed.
Language/Mathematical Skills:
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to fellow employees as well as vendors. Ability to perform basic math calculations using mental math as well as a calculator.
