This role ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment, utilities, and building systems while minimizing downtime and supporting production goals. The Maintenance Manager will oversee maintenance personnel, manage maintenance programs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Reliability Develop, implement, and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all production and facility equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment including: Pumps, pump systems, and mechanical seals Pneumatic systems, actuators, and controls Process valves and piping systems Liquifiers, homogenizers, and blending equipment Electric motors, gearboxes, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) Mixing tanks, agitators, and process vessels Automated beverage processing and packaging systems Bag-in-box filling equipment Bottling and filling lines Conveyor systems and automated material handling equipment Battery-operated forklifts and charging systems Maintain and troubleshoot FANUC robotic systems , end-of-arm tooling, robotic cells, and associated automation controls. Support the operation and reliability of automated production and packaging lines , including sensors, controls, servo systems, and machine vision systems. Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability and uptime. Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning of new manufacturing assets. Predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. Facility & Building Maintenance Oversee maintenance and repairs for building infrastructure, including: HVAC systems Compressed air systems Plumbing systems Electrical systems Lighting Roofs, floors, and structural components Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facility operations. Leadership & Team Management Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance technicians and contractors. Establish maintenance priorities and allocate resources effectively. Foster a safety-first culture and ensure all maintenance activities are completed according to company safety standards. Lead daily maintenance meetings and coordinate activities with production and quality teams. Planning & Continuous Improvement Manage maintenance work orders and equipment history records through a CMMS system. Develop and monitor maintenance budgets, including labor, parts, and contractor expenses. Maintain spare parts inventory and establish critical parts programs. Support capital improvement and equipment installation projects. Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, efficiency, and operational reliability. Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, food safety, and environmental requirements. Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, and other safety programs. Participate in facility audits and corrective action programs. Support SQF, HACCP, FDA, and customer audit requirements. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience maintaining equipment in a food, beverage, flavor, ingredient, or related process manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of:
FANUC robots and robotic automation systems Automated production and packaging lines Beverage processing equipment Bag-in-box filling systems Homogenizers Bottling and filling equipment Pumps, seals, valves, and process piping systems Pneumatic and hydraulic systems Electric motors, controls, and VFDs Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation systems preferred. Knowledge of GMP, FDA, HACCP, and SQF food manufacturing standards. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in mechanical systems repair and facilities management. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical systems, HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, and low voltage wiring. Familiarity with OSHA regulations, safety protocols, CMMS software, and maintenance management procedures. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Mechanical troubleshooting skills using tools such as ohmmeters; experience with engineering troubleshooting techniques. Effective leadership qualities with team management experience; fluent in English for clear communication across teams. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes. Experience Minimum 5-7 years of progressive maintenance experience in food, beverage, flavor, ingredient, chemical, or related manufacturing industries. Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience managing maintenance technicians and contractors. Demonstrated experience supporting highly automated manufacturing environments with robotic, filling, packaging, and process equipment. Hands-on experience with specialized food processing systems including automated beverage and bag-in-box filling lines, homogenizers, bottling equipment, and battery-powered material handling equipment. Education Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant maintenance experience will be considered. Physical Requirements Ability to walk production and warehouse areas regularly. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in manufacturing environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to food-grade ingredients. May require occasional after-hours and emergency response support.
Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
