Description Charger Logistics is looking for a Service & Maintenance Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our maintenance shop in Romulus. This role is responsible for coordinating truck and trailer repairs, scheduling maintenance, tracking service work orders, and ensuring equipment is serviced efficiently and remains compliant. The ideal candidate has previous experience in a fleet, transportation, automotive, or maintenance environment and strong organizational and communication skills. Job Duties Coordinate daily truck and trailer repair and maintenance activities with Mechanics and Service Coordinators. Review and track open service work orders to ensure repairs are completed accurately and on time. Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records in the company's database. Monitor trucks and trailers requiring service and follow up on outstanding repairs and Out-of-Service (OOS) equipment. Assist with planning daily and preventive maintenance schedules. Coordinate with the Safety department regarding scheduled maintenance and compliance requirements. Communicate with drivers, mechanics, vendors, and internal departments regarding repair and service needs. Review parts requirements for scheduled repairs and coordinate with the Parts team to ensure availability. Handle inbound service calls and respond to maintenance-related inquiries. Assist with reviewing mechanic expenses, invoices, and supporting documentation. Pick up parts from dealerships or suppliers when required. Ensure company equipment is properly maintained and remains compliant with applicable requirements. Perform other shop-related duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in Service Coordination, Maintenance Coordination, Service Advisor, Fleet Maintenance, or a similar role. Previous experience in the heavy truck, transportation, automotive, fleet maintenance, or repair industry is an asset. Good understanding of truck and trailer repair and maintenance processes. Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills. Strong computer skills, including MS Office and service/maintenance management systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when operationally required. Apply for this job
