Full Job Description Hours:

5:30 am- 3:30 pm-Monday through Friday and weekends as needed. This is a salaried position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES

Supervision of the maintenance department, including food manufacturing lines, building and grounds for the assigned facility. Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements. Responsible for partnering and training others; sharing knowledge, skills and information within team and across functional areas. Ability to lift 50 pounds as well as climb stairs, ladders, bend/crouch and stand/sit for long periods of time. Prepares work, maintenance and staffing schedule, assigns work appropriately and ensures services are performed to meet facility needs. Plans, manages and reviews preventative maintenance and repair schedules. Manages equipment purchasing and contract services as necessary. Work with the Director-Engineering and Maintenance and Maintenance Supervisors on negotiation and any contract work as needed. Provides assistance to the Director-Engineering & Maintenance in performing preventative, on-going maintenance of the facility physical systems to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation while maximizing system up time. This position will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Team at Turri's Italian Foods. The Manager will also be responsible for staying within the maintenance budget and leading projects associated with productivity increase, cost savings and capacity increase.

TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Specific technical knowledge (troubleshooting, maintenance, some programming) of boilers, air compressors, conveyors, motors and bearings. Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred. Strong troubleshooting skills in Electrical and Mechanical maintenance. Strong desire to work "hands-on".

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum 5 years experience in a maintenance manager/supervisor role in a food and/or beverage manufacturing facility prefered. Minimum 5 years experience in plant maintenance (electrical, mechanical, preventative, troubleshooting), preferably in food manufacturing.
