Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgable Facilities Maintenance Director to lead and oversee all aspects of facilities management within our healthcare environment. This pivotal role involves managing maintenance teams, ensuring the optimal operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive technical expertise, and a proactive approach to facility upkeep. Responsibilities Act as a working supervisor to Lead and manage facilities maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective repair and upkeep of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Develop, implement, and oversee maintenance repair procedures in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations by conducting regular safety audits, training sessions, and maintaining safety documentation. Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently. Manage facilities projects from planning through execution, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations while adhering to budget and timeline constraints. Skills Proven management experience overseeing facilities maintenance teams in a healthcare setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, electrical systems—including high voltage. Capable of using Microsoft Office applications for reporting, planning, and communication purposes. Experience with platforms for work order management and maintenance tracking. Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical problems using tools. Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards relevant to industrial environments. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with supervising experience in managing diverse teams effectively. Project management skills to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Mechanical systems repair expertise combined with a thorough understanding of maintenance repair procedures across various facility systems.
