Job Description

Job Summary

Brainerd Helicopter Services Inc. is hiring an experienced helicopter mechanic to serve as the Assistant Director of Maintenance. This is a permanent, full-time position. The work schedule is 12 on/12 off during the fire season and generally the same for winter maintenance with slight modifications to work around the major holidays. Primary work location is Brainerd, Minnesota.

We are a small organization with great leadership focusing on employees as well as their families. We pride ourselves on safety and are one of less than fifty 135 operators in the nation that voluntarily asks the FAA to oversee our safety management systems. Bell 407 and Bell 206 series experience required.

Duties:

Function as the assistant director of maintenance, maintaining work practices, quality and safety standards.

Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on Bell 407 / Bell 206 series aircraft. Perform annual maintenance on rotation schedule during non-aerial firefighting contract period.

Requirements

A&P License with no enforcement action (2 years required)

12 months' experience maintaining Bell 407 or Bell 407 factory school

3 months' field experience on the Bell 407

Field experience on Rolls Royce C47 Engines

12 months' experience maintaining Bell 206 series or Bell 206 series factory school

3 months' field experience on the Bell 206 series

Field experience on Rolls Royce C20 and C30 Engines

Must be able to obtain USFS card for Bell 407 and Bell 206 series (prior agency carded preferred)

CDL (Class A, B or C with Hazmat endorsements preferred, tank optional)

Familiar with aircraft manufacturers' maintenance manuals and STCs

Able to make proper log entries as required by the Federal Aviation Regulations

Able to work in a team environment, meet deadlines as necessary, and work independently with good time management and organizational skills

Alcohol and drug free environment - Successful candidates will be required to pass post-offer and random drug tests.
