Join Our Team as an Assistant Maintenance Director! Lakehouse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable, hands-on Assistant Maintenance Director to help maintain a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This position plays a key role in supporting the Maintenance Director with the daily operations of our long-term care community while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and facility standards. Position Summary The Assistant Maintenance Director assists with the maintenance, repair, and overall operation of the facility's building systems, equipment, grounds, and resident living areas. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, and committed to providing excellent service in a healthcare environment. Essential Responsibilities Assist with the daily maintenance and repair of facility equipment, systems, and grounds. Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner. Assist with maintaining a safe environment that meets state, federal, and local regulations. Support emergency preparedness activities and facility safety programs. Monitor and maintain building security systems and fire safety equipment. Coordinate repairs with outside vendors and contractors as directed. Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and general grounds maintenance. Participate in facility inspections and regulatory surveys. Maintain maintenance logs, records, and inventory of supplies. Serve as Maintenance Director in their absence when needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous maintenance experience in healthcare, long-term care, hospitality, or commercial facilities preferred. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Valid driver's license preferred.
