Position Summary We are seeking an experience maintenance manager to oversee our maintenance technicians supporting our Twin Cities locations. This person would be responsible for supporting our production teams by ensuring their team is performing preventative and trouble shooting maintenance as well as basic building maintenance at each plant. The right individual would have a metal stamping or fabrication background and experience managing a team of other maintenance technicians. Develop and maintain company Preventative Maintenance Program and oversee the maintenance and repair of facilities, machinery and equipment in all Plants. Lead, partner and mentor the activities of other maintenance employees, suppliers and subcontractors. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop and lead an ongoing PM program for all Lake Air plants; track results Maintain facilities and grounds and manage associated contract services and repairs. Supervise the Maintenance Technician and all maintenance activities in respective location. Partners with other Plant Maintenance Manager to coordinate activities at Plants requesting help when needed. Manage, prioritize and resolve all requests for maintenance and repair services Provide technical support by training and troubleshooting to maintenance and manufacturing employees. Interpret operational manuals, manufacturer's specifications, blueprints and schematics for manufacturing and ancillary equipment. Provide guidance and share knowledge electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, machining and fabrication by traveling to any of the plants as needed. Manage capital purchases when approved by Senior Leadership. This including all shipping, rigging, outside vendors. Ensuring the project is completed on time and with-in budget. Initiate Continuous Improvement programs. Remains current on all OSHA, Arc Flash, and LO/TO procedures and updates as required Train maintenance staff on proper equipment maintenance and repair. Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment. Maintain machine repair records. Direct workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery. Requisition and keep supply of spare parts, while considering budgetary allowances. Recommend measures to improve equipment performance. Make recommendations on the usefulness of machinery and equipment. Direct internal/external workers engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to building, equipment, masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings. Manage the cost and use of external equipment/machinery vendors by partnering with our Commodity Managers. Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies. Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards. Comply with safety rules as outlined in Lake Air's Safety Manual. Comply with the requirements of the ISO Quality Management System and departmental procedures, and work-instructions. Qualifications Strong organizational, time management and communication skills Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as contribute to the overall success of the team Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and easily adapt to change Working knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Programs 10+ years of recent experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to network and/or research issues to quickly diagnose repair issues Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Color vision is required for random of inspections of painted and chemically finished product, signage and depth perception is required to distinguish variations and proportions on products.
