Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Live-In Maintenance Technician to provide comprehensive maintenance and repair services within a residential facility. This role offers the unique opportunity to live on-site, ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the property's systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and facilities maintenance, combined with strong leadership and customer service abilities. Your hands-on expertise will help create a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff alike. Responsibilities Conduct residential painting, and other handyman tasks to maintain the property's appearance and structural integrity. Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including fixtures, pipes, and drainage to prevent leaks or failures. Document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory of MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) supplies. Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects while ensuring safety standards are met; lead or support team members when necessary. Respond promptly to emergency repairs or system failures to minimize downtime; communicate effectively with residents or staff regarding ongoing issues. Oversee safety protocols related to electrical work, welding, HVAC systems, and plumbing repairs to ensure compliance with regulations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents' maintenance requests courteously and efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, and mechanical troubleshooting. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; strong mechanical knowledge is essential. Supervising experience or leadership skills to coordinate maintenance activities effectively. Excellent communication skills in English; capable of providing clear instructions and updates. Residential painting skills are a plus for property aesthetic upkeep. Prior experience in manufacturing or large facility environments is advantageous but not mandatory. This oppotunity is work-for-stay. Meaning this position is 5 days a week, 5 hours a day plus emergencies.
