Immediately Job Description This position works 40 hours per week 7:00 AM

• 3:30 PM.

$21.23 per hour plus a $1.25 per hour stipend with standard benefits. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Ability to work well alone and with others. 2. Ability to coordinate with suppliers and contractors. 3. Ability to favorably interact with director, coordinators, staff, contractors and the public. 4. Ability to handle multiple priorities with minimum direction and supervision. 5. Ability to safely bend, twist and lift up to 100 pounds of supplies and equipment. 6. Ability to drive to various sites and maintain a varied work schedule including weekends. 7. Ability to perform work duties in a safe manner. 8. Ability to demonstrate safe work environment procedures to reduce or eliminate job-related injuries. 9. Ability to set a good example for fellow employees by consistently performing job task in a positive manner; practicing principles of good customer service and good teamwork. 10. Ability to demonstrate good verbal and written communications skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain acceptable attendance as dictated by District/Facilities Department standard.
• Reads and understands manufacturer's recommendations for the application of paints and finishes.
• Repairs malfunctioning parts by dismantling, removing and restoring equipment according to specifications and manuals.
• Seeks the advice of other maintenance workers or the supervisor in order to solve the maintenance problems unique to their experiences.
• Advances to expert (III) status through education, dedication, and acceptance of peers and supervision.
• All other duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS

1. High School diploma or GED certificate. 2. Advanced training in a vocation college or trades school or graduate of certified apprenticeship program or a verifiable certificate of achievement in a relevant field. 3. Valid driver's license appropriate for vehicle. 4. Two plus years experience in maintenance work, construction, or allied field. 5. Must be able to read blue prints, plans and specifications. 6. Knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment. 7. Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and work in both warm and cold climatic conditions. 8. Ability to work 30

• 50 feet from ground level.

9. Ability to read and understand complex instructions.
