Apartment Maintenance Technician -

Full-time Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in keeping our apartment community safe, functional, and welcoming for all residents. The ideal candidate has a strong background in general maintenance, a proactive mindset, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance:
Perform routine repairs and maintenance across the property, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances.
Resident Repair Requests:
Respond to maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner, ensuring resident satisfaction.
Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections and scheduled maintenance on building systems to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
Property Upkeep:
Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of common areas, amenities, and exterior grounds.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all safety standards, building codes, and maintenance protocols to ensure a secure environment for residents and staff.
Inventory Management:
Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of maintenance supplies. Ensure tools are safely and properly stored.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in an apartment or residential setting. Proficient knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. Ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and independently. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with property management. Willingness to be on-call for after-hours or emergency repairs. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. HVAC certification or relevant technical training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with property management or work order software. Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, and working in outdoor or confined environments. Comfortable working in varying weather conditions as required.
