Job Description

Gpac is working with a well-established, rapidly growing National C ompany (meat processing) that is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager in the Jackson area of Mississippi . In this role you wouldsupport a high-volume, fast-paced production environment. This leader will drive equipment reliability, support continuous improvement, and guide a skilled maintenance team across fabrication and further-processing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, and mentor a multi-skilled maintenance team across all production shifts Oversee daily maintenance operations, troubleshooting, PM programs, and work order execution Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, HACCP, ammonia/refrigeration regulations, and plant safety programs Manage maintenance budget, parts inventory, and contractor relationships Partner with Operations, Engineering, and QA to maximize uptime and support production goals Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and improve plant performance Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and future facility enhancements
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of maintenance leadership in meat or food processing (protein experience strongly preferred) Strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial troubleshooting background Experience with refrigeration (ammonia), packaging equipment, conveyors, and processing machinery Proven ability to lead teams, manage KPIs, and build a culture of accountability Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, safety programs, and maintenance best practices
