Job Description
Maintenance Manager - Food Manufacturing Jackson, Mississippi Area gpac is working with a well-established, rapidly growing national food manufacturer seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations within a high-volume production facility. This individual will be responsible for building a strong maintenance team, improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting continued plant growth. Key Responsibilities Lead, develop, and mentor a multi-skilled maintenance team across all production shifts Oversee daily maintenance operations, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and work-order execution Improve equipment reliability, uptime, and overall plant performance Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, HACCP, refrigeration, and plant safety requirements Manage the maintenance budget, parts inventory, contractors, and vendor relationships Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to support production goals Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce downtime and extend equipment life Support capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades Qualifications 5+ years of maintenance leadership within food, beverage, protein, or a similar high-volume manufacturing environment Meat or protein processing experience is preferred but not required Strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial troubleshooting knowledge Experience with ammonia refrigeration, packaging equipment, conveyors, and processing machinery Proven ability to lead teams, manage KPIs, and create accountability Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, safety programs, and maintenance best practices What the Company Offers Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Growing, well-capitalized organization with strong leadership support High-impact position with the opportunity to influence plant performance and culture Long-term growth and advancement opportunities Interviews are being scheduled immediately.
